I have been stamping steady for the last 4-5 years. I bought my first rubber stamp when I was still in high school. I did a little stamping on stationery with that. Then, seven plus years ago, I decided to take on my wedding invitations. I found a floral wreath stamp, some sparkling embossing powder, and brass alphabet stencils. Talk about jumping right in. I didn't have a heat gun, so I heated my embossing powder over the toaster-all 100 of them. After that task, I decided that I was going to get better and get a lot more supplies. Now, I'm addicted and have plenty of supplies, but I am always finding more. I love to try all the new things out on the market and love, love, love to try new techniques. I've been expanding my stamping from just cards to scrapbooking, ornaments, tiles, dominos and any other 3-D item that looks stampable. I am a stay at home mom to two very rowdy boys. Elliott is 3 1/2 and Matthew is 1 year. They keep me hopping so I have to make time for stamping-for sanity's sake. My goal for each day is to get them to nap at the same time so that I have a couple of hours to play. My husband, Terry, is very supportive and full of compliments for my work. We live in Ishpeming in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I joined TAC in September of 2003 after looking for a company that didn't have demonstrators in my area. We, also, don't have any stamp stores so I needed a source more variety of supplies and accessories. I did it for the good of the county. I love unmounted stamps and no longer like to use my wood mount stamp sets. They take too much work in the exact placement of where I want to stamp! I love being able to see exactly where I'm stamping. TAC turned out to be a wonderful company with friendly and helpful demonstrators who are fantastic. TAC is, also, doing a great job with keeping up with the current trends of the stamping/scrapbooking business, which, in turn, keeps me up to date and supplied with all the newest supplies available. I love it!! Stamp on, Becky Lemire Check out Becky's work here!
