Color it In

When coloring in stamped images on white (or light colored) cardstock, I’ve discovered a great way to do away with any of the little white specs sometimes left behind if you miss coloring an edge, small space, or a corner.

First, take the broad end of a yellow or beige marker and color in the entire image---the whole thing!! Then, color your image as usual. No more little white specs left in your image! Yellow is a wonderful color to use, as it lends itself to turning the other colors a “warm” tone. Beige is also a great base color as it will neutralize the bright white background and provide a wonderful backdrop that will softly mute the other colors.

I used this method when I colored in these Thanksgiving themed images that I later applied to small bottles. It was a huge time saver (no more going back and doing the touch-up’s) in additional to adding dimension and warmth to my finished product.
