Embossed Mulberry Paper

• Crackle Background stamp (TAC)
• Deer from Moose stamp set (TAC)
• Large Pine Tree from Sampler Plate stamp set (TAC)
• Saying from Dot Greetings stamp set (TAC)
• VersaMark (Tsukineko)
• Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid Ink (Stewart Superior ~ TAC)
• Dark Brown cardstock; ¼ Sheet (5½” x 4¼”)
• Kraft cardstock; ½ Sheet trimmed (5¼” x 8”)
• 3” x 3½” Piece Dark Green cardstock
• 3½” x 4” Piece Ivory Mulberry Paper
• Clear Embossing Powder
• Heat Tool (Milwaukee)
• Mono Adhesive (Tombow)
• Small chocolate brown brads (or eyelets)

Instructions

1.    Mount mulberry paper on dark green cardstock by putting adhesive on the back of the green card stock entirely along the edges. Fold the edges of the mulberry paper over to attach to the green cardstock.  You want this to be a tight fit.

2.    Stamp deer with VersaMark Ink Pad and cover with clear Embossing Powder, but don’t heat yet. (This helps see the deer so you don’t stamp over it).

3.    Stamp the pine tree image multiple times with the VersaMark ink pad.

4.    Cover with clear Embossing Powder.  Melt with the heat tool and let cool.

5.    Fold Kraft cardstock in half. Ink up the crackle background image using the VersaMark Ink Pad.

6.    Mount embossed piece on Kraft piece with Mono Adhesive. 

7.    Punch two small holes for brads or eyelets near top. Add brad (or eyelet) embellishment.

8.    Mount on dark brown cardstock using Mono Adhesive.

9.    Stamp saying of your choice using Burnt Umber Palette Ink Pad.

Note: The use of bold stamps works best for this technique.
