1.  Stamp desired number of images on your paper.  Cut them out closely.  Run them through your Xyron using permanent adhesive.

2.  Color the images.  Peel backing off and place the images on your page. 

3.  Using your bone folder, burnish the images down to the page well. 

4.  Using a wet paintbrush or waterbrush, blend if you used watercolor pencils. 

5.  Put your cutting mat behind the page you’re working on.  Use your rulerand craft knife to carefully cut out the windows and around three sides of the door.

6.  If you’ve chosen to place any images behind the door and windows, tape them behind the openings with redliner tape or use PPA.

7.  Stamp bricks on tissue paper with the versafine. 

8.  Color front with watercolor pencils.

9.  Turn the piece over and color just the spaces between the bricks with a regular colored pencil or other water resistant white.  Cut or tear tissue out to fit where you’re going to put it.

10.  Apply gel medium to back side of tissue and place it on your page.  The moisture from the gel medium should blend the colors from your watercolor pencils.

11.  Behind the door, I’ve placed an image of a woman’s face that I stamped, then colored by stippling.  I used my craft knife to slice along the line of her lips. 

12.  What a laugh I am getting – making this beauty stick out her tongue and the reader will be pulling on that tongue to reveal words.   I've stippled the 'tongue' pink and ‘pierced’ the end.  I hope all who see get a chuckle. 

13.  Here, you see the back side of the face – the middle piece of paper is the words and the two pieces on either side of it are the ‘groove’ I’ve created for the words so that when the reader is putting them back, they can only go in one direction. Also, there is another, small, piece glued to the end of the words as a ‘stop’.  Again, I’ve used a 100% cotton content print making paper for it’s durability.

Punch a hole through the door knob area, attach the brad.  I put 4 jump rings together in a small chain and threaded it through the small hole in the ‘tongue’ to use as a pull.  I’ve had a lot of fun doing this one. J
