Puzzling Designs
(The
Queen of Simply Elegant) Supplies•
Vintage Gown (TAC) Instructions 1. Color image in with Prismacolor pencils and set aside. 2. Squirt a small amount of Coffee Bean refill onto an old CD (I use the free ones I get in the mail) and with a slightly damp paintbrush pick up some of the ink and begin painting the puzzle pieces. Once all the pieces are painted. Speed the drying process with your heat tool. Be careful because the puzzle pieces have a tendency to fly around. A pair of LONG tweezers or hemostats might come in handy, just be careful not to squeeze your pieces tightly or muck up your paint. 3. Repeat step 2 as often as needed to get the proper coverage on your pieces. I only painted two coats for this project. 4. Once dry and cooled, ink up one letter (I chose Dream) for each puzzle piece using Graphite Black and stamp image onto puzzle pieces. Speed dry using your heat tool. 5. Once dry and cool, clean the Coffee Bean ink off your paintbrush. 6. Squirt a small amount of Versamark ink onto the CD. Paint one puzzle piece. Using tweezers, place puzzle piece into tidy tray and dump UTEE onto it. Pick up with tweezers to remove excess and emboss with heat tool. Dump excess UTEE back into jar. Set puzzle piece to the side and allow to cool. 7. Repeat step 6 until all puzzle pieces are embossed. 8. Using tape runner, attach tan piece to the right hand size of brown card. 9. Using glue dots, attach dream puzzle pieces to the left side of the card. (Deciding placement first is best before gluing them down). A Simply Elegant card is completed!
