Monochromatic Stamping

Magic Stampin’ Bus
Beginner Stamping Designer

Monochromatic Stamping:  Monochromatic stamping is rubber stamping and matting a completed project in the same color family such as all blues or all greens, etc.  You may use different color inks and papers as long as they are in the same shades and hues of a particular color family.  This gives a soft and subtle look.  It is fast and easy and looks harmonious!  Try it using your favorite color and enjoy.

Supplies:

  • Stamp set: Eclectic Wagon (TAC, The Angel Company)
  • Stamp set: Eclectic Borders (TAC, The Angel Company)
  • Stamp set: Mini Script LE (TAC, The Angel Company)
  • Pink Petunia Versamagic Stamp Pad (Tsukineko)
  • Acrylic Blocks (TAC)
  • Pink Ribbon 4 ¾” (Wal-Mart)
  • Fabri-Tac Glue (Beacon)
  • Cardstock:
  • Lt. Pink 5 ½”x8 ½” folded in half for card
    • 5”x3 ¾” Mat
    • 1 3/8”x1 ½” Mat
  • Dk. Pink 5 ¼”x4” Mat
    • 2 ¼”x3 ¾” Torn Strip
  • Scissors
  • Scotch Tape

Instructions:

All stamping is done with unmounted stamps placed on an acrylic block.

  1. Mat dk. Pink cardstock onto folded lt. pink card.  Set aside.

  1. Tear along each long side of the 2 ¼”x3 ¾” dk. Pink strip.  Adhere the pink ribbon to the torn strip using scotch tape to adhere to back of torn piece.  Set aside.

  1. On the far left short side of the 5”x3 ¾” lt. pink cardstock; stamp the star type border from the Eclectic Border stamp set with the Pink Petunia stamp pad.  Adhere the torn strip next to the stamped border.

  1. Using the flower cart stamp from the Eclectic Wagon set, stamp with the Pink Petunia stamp pad in the lower right hand corner of the lt. pink cardstock.

  2. Stamp the word “hello” from the Mini script set with the Pink Petunia stamp pad and the small garden rake along side the “hello” above the cart.

  1. On the small piece of lt. pink cardstock; stamp the watering can.  Dab the edges of the cardstock onto the Pink Petunia stamp pad to give it some color.  Adhere to the torn dk. Pink border.  Mat the stamped lt. pink cardstock onto the dk. Pink cardstock that is already adhered to card.  ENJOY!!!
