LYRA Metallic Colored Pencil Resist By
Special Thanks to Denyse from Lasting Impressions with Panache for teaching me this technique! Supply List: • Dragonfly (Lasting
Impressions with Panache) Instructions: 1. Using white glossy cardstock, stamp dragonfly with Document black ink. 2. Color the dragonfly with LYRA metallic colored pencils. Apply a good amount of pressure so there is a thick layer of waxy pencil covering the parts of the image you want colored. 3. Once the image is colored, ink up a brayer with Adirondack ink. Brayer over the entire piece of glossy paper until the entire background is covered. The waxy pencil covering the dragonfly will resist the ink. 4. Use a tissue to buff the waxy pencil off of the dragonfly. A pastel version of the color from the pencil will remain on the dragonfly. 5. Punch the four corners of the dragonfly cardstock. Wind fiber around the card using the punched corners as a guide. Secure the fibers on the back of the cardstock. 6. Layer the dragonfly cardstock onto the glossy gold, then onto the black folded cardstock to finalize your card.
