Magic Color Resist

• Aleene’s Thick Designer Tacky Glue

Instructions:

1.  Cut the Cardstock to the size needed: 4 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches.

2.  Cut out the heart for the background from the heavy board using the large heart on the template.  Trace with a stylus. Cut out with regular scissors.  Punch out holes to be able to hang heart.

3.  Color the glossy cardstock with the Berry Blaze and Desert Heat Kaleidacolor Pads.  Randomly swipe the color all over the paper to coat.  First, color with the Berry Blaze and next with the Desert Heat. 

4. Trace the small heart shape on the center of the glossy card with the stylus.

5.  Stamp the Squiggle Hearts and Hearts within the heart shape you have drawn with the clear embossing pad.  Sprinkle on the clear powder and emboss with the heat gun.  To achieve a more solid heart you might want to do this process more than once.  I did the large hearts in the design twice.

6.  Apply the white ink to the heart.  Sponge on the ink and briefly let it dry, then remove some of the ink with the q-tips. This is the “Magic Color Resist Heart:” Bring out as much color as you can.

7.  Stamp on the saying “I Just Love You” on the Magic Resist Heart with the Sunkissed Raspberry Ink and emboss with the clear powder.

8.  Cut out the heart with the small scallop scissors.  Touch up the edges of the heart by rubbing the edge with some of the Sun Ripened Raspberry and Violete colors.

9.  Make the “Cherry Pink Enameled Background Heart” for mounting the Magic Color Resist Heart. Process the Large Heart you cut out of the heavy board by completely inking the entire heart using the VersaCraft Cherry Pink ink pad.  Heat set ink with a heat tool.  This will be the back.  Turn the heart over to the front side and then sprinkle with the clear powder and emboss.

10.  Attach the Magic Resist Heart to the Cherry Pink Enameled Heart with the Tacky Glue.

11. Tie the two fibers in a bow and tie them to the heart.  This is your Hanging Magic Resist Heart.
