 I live in Utah (grew up in various locations in the midwest).  My husband and I have been married for- let’s just say a little longer than I have been scrapbooking properly.   We have three children.  We have a daughter, Brynja,  a son, Joshua and we have a daughter, Aliyah.  I am a stay-at-home mom.  My husband and I also own a small corporation which we do together. 

            I was a fine arts major in college.  After having children I have found it very difficult to do what I love most; oil painting, drawing with various mediums and other painting.  It is really hard to finish a 60-80 hour painting in 20 minutes blocks of time!  (Not to mention trying to keep tiny fingers off the project.)  So, in my need to fill a creative void I turned to scrapbooking. 

            I started scrapbooking many moons ago, though I later learned what acid free and lignin free meant and realized I would have to re-do many albums!  I have scrapbooked "properly" for over a decade.  I love the creative process and I need it in my life.  I also love preserving precious moments, not just pictures, for my children to pass on to their children.  I believe a picture is worth a thousand words only if you know what those words are!  So journaling is a big deal to me! 

            I was introduced to rubber stamping right after my son was born and was instantly addicted.  My money went from oil paints and canvases to rubber stamps and inks.  My hobby became a passion and another creative outlet.  I love that I can accomplish a lot of projects in a little amount of time.  I love the versatility of stamping "toys".  Being able to create so many different looks and feels to my projects really intrigues me.  I love to play with new products and constantly try new techniques.  Paper crafting is such a blast. 

I have discovered thought that it has caused me to have many new addictions.  I crave paper.  I can’t get enough of it.  And with the never ending new lines that come out I can be found lurking at local scrapbook and craft stores.  I can fill my entire basket with nothing but luscious papers and cardstocks.  My husband even tried to find out how mush I had once and thought we should get insurance for it! 

Some day I will get my art studio back, actually build a new one (if hubby gets a garage to tinker in it is only fair I get the space over the garage!) but I will never lose my passion for stamping and scrapbooking.  They are such a huge part of my life!  So, off I go to get something created!
